Description:
At 8 minutes in, the cops respond to a call and start searching a house,
only to find an unconscious Melanie wearing only a shirt, and lying on a
staircase. Her hands are bound in front with duct tape, feet unbound,
and she is gagged with a wide strip. Missy carefully peels the tape
off of her mouth (which was very sticky and well-applied) and summons
help.
At approx 47 minutes (broadcast time, including commercials) Andy McNally (Missy) is investigating the serial rapist by an illegal search of his storage locker at a Storage facility. She finds his rape kit including rope, duct tape and photographs of his victims bound and gagged. As she returns to find more things connecting the serial rapist, she gets rammed into the wall and passes out.
When she wakes up, Andy finds herself bound and gagged hand and foot with duct tape; it is wrapped many times around her feet, and a wide strip (nice and sticky) seals her mouth shut. The rapist plans on killing her and does not want her to see him, so he orders her to close her eyes. When she vehemently refuses, he blindfolds her with another wide strip of duct tape. We are treated to some great views of her flaring nostrils from breathing heabily before her partner, the detective, arrives and fights with the criminal. He overpowers him, reaches down to Andy's belt to take her handcuffs, and cuffs him. He finally frees Andy from her restraints. While the two slugs it out, we see a brief scene of Missy struggling with her bonds.
Great closeups, lips pressed against the tape, waking up bound and gagged, decent KO scene to start. Missy is wearing her police uniform throughout the scene.
